Amen is run by Ranked Technologies Limited, RC 9522220, NDPC registration NDPC/DCP/14538, Lekki, Lagos, Nigeria. By using the site at amen.ng you agree to what follows. If you do not agree, please read the site without posting, or do not use it.
What Amen is
Amen is a public prayer wall and testimony board. Anyone can read it. A member can post a prayer request, reply to someone else's, and say Amen to a post. There is a short daily devotional called Today's word.
Using Amen is free. No payment is taken on this site, there is nothing to subscribe to, and we will never ask you for money to have your prayer read or answered. If anything on the site ever costs money, it will be clearly marked before you agree to it.
Everything you post is public
There is no private posting on Amen. A prayer request is visible to the whole internet the moment you press the button. It can be read without an account, it can be indexed by search engines, and other people can copy it or share the link.
So please do not post details of your health, your money or your family that you would not want a stranger to read. Say "a health matter" rather than the diagnosis. Say "a family member" rather than the name. And do not post another person's health, debts, marriage or court case at all. It is their business, not yours to publish.
Never post a bank account number, a BVN, a National Identification Number, a passport number, a full home address, or a photograph of a document. If you have already posted one, write to support@ranked.ng and we will take it down.
Your account
- Use one account, and use a display name you are happy for the world to see. It does not have to be your real name.
- Keep your password to yourself. You are responsible for what is posted from your account.
- The site cannot send email at the moment, so there is no working confirmation link and no working password reset. If you cannot get in, write to support@ranked.ng and a person will help.
- You may ask us to close your account at any time. What happens to your posts is set out on the privacy page.
What you may not post
- Asking members for money, in any form. No account numbers, no payment links, no seed sowing, no "send me transport fare", no fundraising appeals. Prayer requests that are really money requests get removed.
- Anyone else's personal or medical details, or a photograph of a person who did not agree to be posted.
- Insults, threats, harassment, or attacks on a person's tribe, religion, church, gender, or health condition. Disagreement is allowed. Contempt is not.
- Claims that you can heal, deliver, or prophesy over someone in exchange for anything, and offers of miracle cures or products.
- Pretending to be a pastor, a church, a doctor, an official, or another member.
- Sexual content, content involving children, and anything illegal under Nigerian law.
- Spam, advertising, link dropping, repeated posting of the same request, and automated posting.
- Anything you do not have the right to publish, including copied writing that is not yours.
Prayer is not advice
Amen is a place to ask for prayer and to encourage one another. It is not medical, legal, financial or professional advice, and neither we nor other members are qualified to give you any of those. What another member writes is their own opinion.
If you are unwell, see a doctor. If you are in danger, contact the police or emergency services. Do not stop treatment because of something you read here. We do not read posts in real time and we cannot respond to an emergency.
Today's word
The daily devotional is drafted by ngpt-1, a language model that runs on our own machine, and it is not published until a human moderator has read it, corrected it and released it. Every post says so.
A model can still get things wrong, including quoting a Bible verse that does not say what it claims, and we have already caught it doing exactly that. Check any verse in your own Bible before you lean on it, and tell us at support@ranked.ng if you spot an error so we can fix the post.
Moderation
Moderators can hide, edit, lock or delete a post, and can suspend or remove an account, if it breaks these rules or if it puts someone at risk. You can report a post with the flag control and a person will look at it.
We do not have to keep any particular post on the site, and we are not obliged to explain every decision. If you think we got it wrong, write to support@ranked.ng and we will reply within 30 days.
Moderation is done by people, on one small team. It is not instant and it is not perfect. Something offensive may sit on the site until it is reported. Reporting it helps.
What you wrote stays yours
You keep the rights to your own words. By posting on Amen you give us permission to store your post, show it on the site, and let it be found through search, for as long as it stays up. You can withdraw that by asking us to remove the post.
The site software is Flarum, used under the MIT licence. Our own additions, the branding and the daily devotional workflow belong to Ranked Technologies Limited.
Availability
Amen runs on a single server that we own, in Istanbul, Türkiye. It can go offline for maintenance, for a power or network problem, or because something broke. There is no uptime guarantee and no off machine backup, so please keep your own copy of anything that matters to you.
We may change the site, change these rules, or stop running Amen. If we decide to close it we will say so on the site first.
Liability
Amen is provided as it is. We do not promise that the site will always be available, that a post will always be there, or that anything written by another member is true, safe or wise. As far as Nigerian law allows, we are not liable for loss you suffer from using the site, from relying on something posted here, or from the site being unavailable. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Ending your use
You can stop using Amen and ask us to close your account whenever you want. We can suspend or close an account that breaks these rules, and we can remove content without notice where it is unlawful or puts a person at risk.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and the courts of Lagos State have jurisdiction. How we handle personal data is set out on the privacy page, including the fact that the site and your data sit on a server in Türkiye.
